1st through 6th Grade
The curriculum at St. Mary's Central Catholic School is developed and based on Faith Development (Daily Religious Instruction and Weekly Mass) and on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Thus, in addition to Religious Instruction, Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Physical Education, etc. are taught daily. Students also have the opportunity to participate in a Christian Schools Sports League throughout the year ( basketball, volleyball and track). Faith and Gospel Values are integrated and stressed through all of the subjects. Supplements to the core curriculum benefiting St. Mary’s students include:

Assessment
The Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) and the Cognitive Achievement test (CogAt) are aligned with the National Educational Standards and are used to assess the progress of the students. Both assessments are administered in the fall to the K-6th grade students.
